Our story begins…
…at the end of 2024, in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn. Started as a simple - almost - idea - make fashion fun, meaningful, expressive and responsible.
Rooted in slow fashion principles, Miilo combines responsible sourcing, quality materials, and thoughtful production processes with a contemporary reinterpretation of a traditional art: embroidery.
All our designs are drawn by hand in our local studio and inspired by daily life, experiences, nature, people and connections.
We create for people who want their clothing to mean something. Who care about how things are made, where they come from, and how long they last. We work with committed suppliers, make considered choices at every step, and share what we learn with a community that believes fashion can be done differently.
We stand for behavior changes, responsible consumption and the preservation of an ancient craft.

Our founder's words
"As far back as I remember, crafting and creating have always been part of my life— a form of expression.
Growing up, I experimented with all kinds of creative pursuits, and a few -cooking, drawing, sewing, and knitting - have never left me.
I've always been interested in clothing and fashion, though never really in trends. I was happiest wearing pieces no one else had.
But finding those unique pieces was never easy. Despite visiting countless shops, spending hours browsing online stores, and facing what seemed like an endless choice of outfits, I rarely found anything that truly felt personal. It became clear to me that fast fashion left little room for individuality, and even less for self-expression.
As I grew older, I also became aware of the environmental cost of fast fashion and mass consumption. And once again, I found myself lacking real alternatives to match my style and my values.
This is how, in the back of my head, my inner entrepreneur saw an opportunity. A problem worth solving. A passion worth turning into something real.

Miilo: at the beginning of its journey, and honest about it.
While dreaming big, Miilo is a young brand and the journey has only just begun. Despite our strong desire and commitment to do good, we know that not everything will be perfect from the start, and we wanted to be honest about it.
Our resources may be limited and our path still taking shape, but our intentions and mission are clear. Like all things built with a vision, we are growing at a pace that allows us to do things right rather than fast. There is so much we aspire to and so much still to do; and we are savoring the journey as much as the end goals.
What we are working toward:
- Deeper partnerships with foundations and associations dedicated to slow fashion, environmental protection, and social impact
- Developing our environmental charter and setting sustainable goals for the brand
- A shorter, more direct supply chain, cutting unnecessary intermediaries
- Stronger transparency and traceability across our entire supply chain
- Continuous sourcing for better, more responsible materials
- Investment in production capacity and equipment as the brand grows, without ever compromising on quality or values
- A dedicated studio space: larger, purpose-built, and designed around the people and craft at the heart of Miilo
- Investment in innovation and new ways to be even more ethical and kind to our planet
