Ethics and sustainability
Each year, the EU generates between 6.94 and 12.6 million tonnes of textile waste - an average of 16 to 19kg per person. Driven by fast fashion, only a fraction is recycled, while about 82-85% ends up in landfills or incinerators.
Textile consumption ranks fifth among all categories of European household consumption
(such as food, mobility, housing, health and education ) in terms of environmental and climate pressure.
Raw materials, land, biodiversity, water, greenhouse emissions, forests, oceans; all are affected daily by the way fashion is produced, distributed, and consumed.
Fortunately, a transition is happening. And we intend to be part of it.
It’s not about fashion, it’s about how we consume it
Fast fashion and the overconsumption patterns of modern society cannot be denied. At Miilo, we do not pretend we will make them disappear.
But we are devoted to act differently towards a more sustainable and a greener future. We let this conviction guide our decisions everyday. We do believe we should all be confident in our clothes, but not at the cost of our environment or of people.
We are not here to judge or preach. We are here to share, inform, offer alternatives, and show that change is possible- one step and one piece of clothing at a time. We do not claim to be perfect or to have everything figured out.
The road to get there is long, but the journey matters as much as the destination, and we are delighted to share it with you.

Durability is central to how we design. Our pieces are made to endure in quality, in construction, and in style. We design for versatility, with the intention of inspiring you to buy less, but better. Circular design is not an afterthought for us; it is built into how we think about every collection.
Embroidery is one of humanity's oldest forms of expression and an ancient art that carried meaning and societies through time.
We defend this craft, work to keep this craft alive and relevant, bridging its history with contemporary expression.
Inclusivity is not a trend for us. We design for all bodies and all styles, because clothing should make everyone feel seen and confident.
Beyond our studio, we are committed to the broader community. We encourage curiosity and knowledge, growth and we support garment repair, reuse, recycling, and donation.
We invest in social initiatives that educate and uplift, because we believe a brand's responsibility does not stop at the sale.
Everyone who works with Miilo is treated fairly, works in safe and respectful conditions. A special attention is given to well being, balance, growth and happiness.
We care deeply about ensuring the same standards apply across our supply chain. Forced labour, child labour - have no place in anything we are part of.
We use no animal-derived materials in our products or production. Our garments are cotton-based, chosen for quality, comfort, and lower impact.
Ethics, integrity, values; this is the culture we protect. No compromises.
