The Designs
Every design is imagined, drawn, digitized, and embroidered with care and love in our studio.
The creative process is at the core of what we make: turning a basic piece of clothing into a unique and vibrant centerpiece of outfit.
Our designs are made with purpose. Each one carries a voice, expressing an identity, an idea, or an emotion, made to resonate with values, beliefs, and passions.
Each design begins as an idea, inspired by the everyday - nature, people, emotions, music, travel, connections and more. We found beauty in the smallest details and transform it into a forever picture stitched on fabric.
We fully own every design that are leaving our studio. Behind each of them is the human and artistic touch of the founder. The designs are never AI generated, never templated, purchased from other creators, or repeated without intention. The same applies to every custom project we take on.
Through our drawings, we hope to bring you fun, humour, and a little cuteness, in the most positive of ways. To make your style and expression feel easier, fuller, and entirely owned.
The Embroidery
Embroidery is an expressive, playful and delicate art that finds its roots as far back as 30,000 BCE. Through time, it has carried various symbols and meanings across the different cultures and parts of the world where it has been embraced.
At Miilo, we celebrate and respect this craft and aim to modernise it, hopefully reviving curiosity, interest, and love for it.
Whether hand-made or machine-made, embroidery is appreciated for its quality, durability, finish and premium feel. However, respecting this art also means understanding its limitations. While producing gorgeous finishes and high-end looks, design limitations are real, especially when compared to other decorative methods such as print.
This is why we work with this craft understanding both its possibilities and its boundaries, creating designs specifically made for embroidery. This is where creativity and out-of-the-box thinking come into play. We work with styles, stitches, techniques, and colours to create designs that hold perfectly onto the fabric, resist time, wear, and washing.
Attention to detail, planning, digitizing, and expertise are at the core of embroidery and we take the time to achieve the best possible results. Digitizing is crucial when it comes to quality and is handled before a single thread reaches the surface of the fabric. During digitizing, the artwork is translated into stitches, adapted to the fabric and the machine.
Like our drawings, the digitization of every artwork is handled entirely by our team, without the intervention of AI tools or third parties. Everything is taken care of in-house, by our hands, to ensure the quality of our products and full control over our production at every step.
